I bought my kid a gun that shoots balls of water. It's an interesting way to cool off. It takes effort to operate. A plus for a high energy kid. The large plop of water is soft and pleasant in comparison to the irritating needling of being hit with a squirt gun. Another plus for a cranky parent.
