I'm finding it hard to categorize posts on this blog these days.  A few months back a woman working at The Indian Store, asked if she could take our picture. She saw us sitting on the floor picking out arrowheads.  It was interesting to me because the project we were working on was his arrow of light.  We picked out the materials to make the arrow he built with his dad.   Together they helped the rest of the boys make arrows.  They used the arrows at the bridge ceremony that took place in March. A symbol of moving forward from childhood and preparing for adulthood. A process that takes a boy away from his mother and he starts to think and act independently of her. He's 11 now, I actually think he got tired of listening to me several years ago, ha ha.
